What’s the difference between line and developmental editing?

Rather than looking at the broad issues, line editors evaluate your manuscript at the sentence level, inspecting your content, writing style, and language. They won’t delve into your manuscript looking for errors. Instead, they will focus on how well you convey your story or your content to your reader.

This is where we can make your story or content really shine! I’ll help you convey a clear sense of atmosphere, emotion, and tone with your language which is especially important for mystery, thriller, and paranormal stories. 

Package Includes:
  • A review of the complete manuscript.
  • Revisions will be made to your manuscript using track changes and comments.
  • 60 minutes of follow-up coaching time via phone or virtual meeting. Time can be broken up into multiple sessions.
  • PRICING: $48 per hour. Time spent typically averages out to approximately 4-6 pages per hour. I'm happy to provide a price quote after reviewing your manuscript.
  • NOTE: This service can be incorporated into a developmental edit. Please contact me for additional information.
